Martin Clark

Future Path @ Helping Your Child Find Their Identity

Class Description: With nearly 30 years working with youth as a church leader coupled with career experience mentoring younger employees trying to find their way, I have gained insight in helping young people and young professionals discover their individual strengths that serve as building blocks in helping them discovering their unique identity.

In recent years the emphasis within the large corporations where I worked began to evolve from a focus primarily upon helping employees strengthen weaknesses to one where great effort was taken to identify and strengthen the individual’s strengths. Research indicates that tapping into ones strengths while minimizing weaknesses has the greatest return on the organization’s employee investment.

This class will focus on methods that parents can use to assess individual strengths in their children and then an interactive demonstration on how to effectively use the DIRECT Communication Feedback Model as a tool when for parents interact with their children.
